Seminar to get surveyors back into work

A SEMINAR is to be held in the Capital to try to help surveyors that have been made redundant to get back into work.

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Scotland is to host an employment workshop on November 1 at its West End office.

The event, between 10am and 4pm, is open to all members who are facing redundancy or those who have already found themselves out of work. They will be given advice on recruitment and interview techniques, CV writing, training and general employment information.

Any member then wishing to submit a CV to RICS Scotland can do so and it will be held on file and issued to potential employers who may get in touch with the organisation.

Graeme Hartley, RICS Scotland's director, said: "This event will provide members with valuable information in a bid to help them back into the workplace."
